2nd Biennial Conference (Conclave 2008)  held in Houston, TX from July 23rd-27th was a huge success for the Fraternity as many milestones were reached. The National Executive Board would like to first thank all of those Bruhs that were in attendance and also would like to take time to congratulate the newly elected Executive and Administrative Officers. In addition to conducting the elections, amending the Bylaws, and adopting new policies to strengthen the fraternity as a whole, the first official Charters were granted to the Delta and Sigma Chapters. These Chapters consistently demonstrate leadership in their service and recruitment for the organization and received numerous awards during Conclave to reflect the organizations recognition of, and thankfulness for their efforts. Congratulations to National Executive Director T. Lunan for  receiving the Elite D. Sean Benjamin Award and T. Sills for receiving the Valerie DeShayzer Award for their exemplary service for the fraternity. P. Foster became the first recipient of the AYK Scholarship Award and the Executive Board would like to thank all those who applied. The Supreme President received on behalf of the organization a display Charter for the fraternity to be passed from President to President along with official seals, and to culminate the entire business theme of Conclave, on July 25th, Alpha Psi Kappa Fraternity, Inc was granted tax exempt status under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, providing further prominence and elite status among LGBT Greek organizations for Dominant WoMen.
